"I’m on my way now. Mmm, just go
home from office. I know now is ten. Yeah ten past eighteen. Whatever.” Kim
Kibum walked slowly. Her half hand held a phone to her ear, and the other swung
her little red handbag. She sighed too much and frowned. This time, the last
person that she wanted to talk to was just Lee Hyukjae, but the man called her and
acted like a over protective lover.
“Lee Hyukjae, can we end? I’m really tired,” Kibum cut what
the man said and hung up the phone. She sighed once again, then faced her phone
angrily.
Why problems came up not nicely today? The morning she had
problem with one of the clients in the office, then her boss angry at her and
she had to overtime until late. Kibum got more angry when she remembered what just
happen all day long. But she just too tired to even angry. All her bones felt
so sick and her brain couldn’t think of anything.
It’s not her first time she should worked hard until almost
midnight, but today she’d decided will stopped to worked for that designer. She
stopped her walked and sighed. “I can be crazy,” she mumbled to herself. She looked around. Seoul city
don’t showed any sign that it’s sleepy. Buildings on all street long competed
to lighting all city, forced peoples to enjoyed the view of the beautifulness
of Summer night in the amazing of South Korea. Even though it’s been years she
lived in Seoul, she still amazed toward it. The clock may already showed ten
past, but the street still full of pedestrian and cars passed by.
The scent of foods could be smelled
from Japanese restaurant there, the disco song can be heard from the music shop
beside it, the voice of peoples speaking, screaming
and laughing.
Suddenly, Kibum felt her head is dizzy. Then her gaze stop to
a snack shop across the street. After thinking for a while, she nodded and
mumbled, “Okay,” like gave up over a fought that she did alone. Kibum crossed
the street fast, as fast that a pair of tired legs that not rest for about last
8 hours could do, and enter the shop. After she greeted to the
ahjumma who own the shop that she knew for so long, she
walked to the chips shelf.
“Hei, Kibum, any problems again in the office?” said the
ahjumma the owner of the shop after she saw five packs of big potatoes chip
that Kibum put on
the table. Kibum smiled shyly, “Ah, nothing. I’m just kinda stress.”
She opened her handbag and search for her wallet. Where is her wallet?
“Hold on, ahjumma! I’m really sure I put my wallet!” Kibum
ruffled her handbag, then poured all contents from her handbag to cashier
table. Now, except five packs potato chips there were a comb, a faded small
book, a pen without tub, a compact powder, a lip balm, a folded umbrella, three
coins, a red handkerchief, a phone, two pieces of receipt, empty candy wrappers
and hair clasps. “Why there’s no?” Sandy mumbled to herself while still
searching. Left at home? It’s mean this whole day, she didn’t bring her wallet?
Suddenly she heard phone ringing, she took a glance at her phone on the cashier
table, oh not her phone that ringing.
